Stone Temple Pilots, sering disingkat menjadi STP, adalah sebuah band rock Amerika dari San Diego, California yang terdiri dari Scott Weiland (vokal), saudara Robert DeLeo (bass gitar, vokal) dan Dean DeLeo (gitar), dan Eric Kretz (drum , perkusi). awal hard rock band, gaya grunge-mengingatkan musik menemukan mereka kesuksesan pada tahun 1992 dengan merilis album debut Core. rilis selanjutnya dari band ini telah menunjukkan berbagai pengaruh, dan dengan demikian band dianggap untuk mengatasi penghalang genre.
Core, bersertifikat 8 × platinum oleh RIAA, melaju band untuk popularitas. STP kemudian menjadi salah satu band rock yang paling sukses secara komersial pada 1990-an, menjual hampir 40 juta album di seluruh dunia, termasuk 17,5 juta unit di Amerika Serikat, sebelum pembubaran mereka di tahun 2003. Band ini telah memiliki 16 single sepuluh besar di chart Billboard batu, delapan yang memuncak pada # 1, dan satu # 1 album untuk Purple pada tahun 1994. Pada tahun yang sama, band ini memenangkan Grammy untuk "Best Hard Rock Performance" untuk lagu "Plush" dari album Core Stone Temple Pilots tersebut. juga peringkat # 40 di VH1's 100 Artis Terbesar Hard Rock.
