SEAWEED

Seaweed dibentuk di Tacoma, WA, pada tahun 1989. Vokalis Aaron Stauffer, mendirikan band dengan sahabatnya Clint Werner, yang mengambil tugas sebagai gitaris. Kemudian direkrut gitaris Neal Wade, bassis John Atkins, dan drummer Bob Bulgrien. Dengan suara tersebut, Seaweed terbukti cocok untuk label Sub Pop Seattle, di mana mereka merekam EP pertama mereka pada tahun 1991 disebut "Despised" dengan kolaborasi produser Jack Endino. Band ini merilis enam album sebelum bubar pada tahun 1999. Setelah pemisahan, Stauffer bergabung mantan bassis Screaming Trees Van Conner, untuk membentuk Gardener, di mana mereka merilis hanya satu disk, terpisah pada tahun 2003.
